Beauty
Beauty is in the eye of the beholder,
It changes as you get older.
It can be forgotten,
But never lost.
Some people cannot see it,
But that is their loss.
It can be seen in nature,
It can be found in death.
It can be ignored by some
And envied by others.
Its only ever skin deep,
But it comes from the heart.
But beauty is nothing,
Just an eyes taste in art.

Contentment Author: Warleader

Contentment
Contentment isnt the possession of everything we
desire,
It cannot be found in wealth.
Its not available for rent or hire.
Contentment isnt freedom.
Its nothing we can hold.
Contentment isnt taken, nor given to the bold.
Its not in hope or charity.
Its nothing that we want.
Contentment changes with everyone,
and is never twice the same.
people are forever seeking it, and always look in
vain.
contentment isnt what we want, its what we need that
counts
the secret hollow spaces filled, the lack of any
doubts.
contentment cannot be taken, its not awarded to the
best.
and perhaps ill finally have it,
when they lay me out to rest.

Ecstasy
One moment of acid etched clarity.
One second of total perfection.
One instant when the walls of this mundane reality come crashing
down.
One eternity of ecstasy compressed into a single frame.
A microcosm in a microsecond.
Two beings of light merged within the fire of oblivion
And then it stops and the world rushes in.
Time, that inconsistent fourth dimension returns to rob you of
your stolen bliss.
For one intangible fragment of broken time, all things are
possible, all things make sense.
The universe revolves around you.
And then it all fades to black your spirit spent your life force
scattered to the winds.
Time returns, and reality forces its unwelcome presence into
your mind, dragging your senses back to anaesthetised normalcy.
Blind, deaf and insensate you crawl back from the brink and
return to normal life.
Time to be human again, time to forget you brief touch at the
face of the infinite.

Hope
Earth's sacred heart lies broken,
At its core a graveyard of bone.
In the cold where no words are spoken,
The green king holds court alone.
His sword of faith lies broken,
His shield of love rent and torn.
And though his crying heart lies open,
His hope lies cold, stillborn.
For man abandoned him for lust,
Tore down the forests.
And built cities of disease and rust.
Put his faithful to the flames,
And left his soul in the dust.
But the pyres are long since cold.
The faithful slowly return to the fold.
Corrupt religion is now toothless and old,
And land yearns once more for the songs of the bold.
Re skin the battle drums, let the bells ring out.
The green man calls us to battle.
Let's put the shadows to rout.

Mistake Author: Warleader

Mistake
Once said never forgotten,
Once broken never whole.
We build our lives upon heartache and pain
Glue them together with hope,
And cling to them in vain.
Uncaring, unthinking, we misunderstand.
And pride locks our path,
Sorrow guides our hand.
We smash what we hold,
We wreck what we cherish.
Forget all we have been told,
And let all we love perish.
To forgive is to be given hope again,
To forget is to make it all in vain.
Never changing, always wrecked.
In loss we are crowned, in hopelessness bedecked.
When a mistake is made,
You cannot repair it.
Better look to the future,
And find someone to share it.
Forget the past, its history, done.
The future is coming,
And your second chance has come.
