Founded
in early 2002 as the vision of a man named Fangran Hong (FANG), Anorkia has
already experienced a plethora of changes regarding line up, style and band name
alterations. Fang was joined by Polish drummer KR-LIK in the first quarter of
2002. The duo created some hard hitting electronic instrumentals which were
shared with KR-LIK's friend, Andrew Hicks (DR3W), who was at the time seeking a
band for which he could provide vocals. He enjoyed the music very much and was
soon the official vocalist. While the band without an official title was working
on their first song, Dr3w met Jessica DeFeo (JE$$) somewhere in cyberspace. The
two befriended and not even 24 hours afterwards, Je$$ became the band's female
vocalist. The four began to call the band Anorchia, which was days later changed
to Anorkia.
Anorkia finished their first track around May: War Sex Crime. KR-LIK mixed and
mastered the track but became dissatisfied with the results. In a complete act
of fate (or luck), KR-LIK formed a friendship with Dirk Försterling (R@ZORBLA.DE) after a :WUMPSCUT: remix contest that
they both participated in. Anorkia came up in conversation, and KR-LIK requested
that R@ZORBLA.DE remaster War Sex Crime for
better results. Dirk delivered two versions of War Sex Crime just a few days
later- a mastered and adjusted version of the original track and the Dark Trance
Mix. Anorkia adored his work and requested that he become a part of the band.
In late summer of 2002, KR-LIK presented the disheartening news that he would be
leaving Anorkia. At this point, R@ZORBLA.DE
became an even more integral part of Anorkia with his duties expanding from
mixing and mastering to additional programming and drums.
On October 1st, 2002, Anorkia released Children of Pride, a six track demo disc
that offers an early glimpse of what is to come.
So what is to come? Well, Picasso said it best:
"Everything you can imagine is real."

Note:
DR3W has contributed guest vocals for several bands in the past and he works on
a very experimental solo project in his spare time.
R@ZORBLA.DE has taken part in countless remix contests (he was the winner of
2001/2002's :WUMPSCUT: Wreath of Barbs contest) and does brilliant solo work. In
2002 he released his solo demo, Dark Spots.
