Awake (Cold Sweat)
Salvation I seek in narrowcrawl spaces and dark corners
seeking the truth from... within darkend by poisons
I betray the shame that shines through the wilting picture covers that
glide outside
for one night I fly
for two nights I die
He speaks of kingdoms and holy sacrilege
identity and blood now gone
faith is but eagerly awaiting the day you breath no more
and what of love?
we spoke to it upon cliffs of shrowding darkness
as angels and demons watched from afar
we gave up blood from our wrists to feel the glory between our bones
and bonded flesh
rotting and decaying fast asleep
only in my dreams do I seek such beauty
only in my thoughts do I know salvations name
rain seeping unto dry skin
as I watch your memory wither away in my mind
twisting down my hollow corridors
for one night I am blessed
for two nights I am without death.
